Honestly, level with me, what is the perception of a guy that mains a female hero in an MMO?? Feel free to DM. Just curious about people's thoughts.

I think nothing of it. I mean we're talking about a genre where people can be orcs, dwarves, elves, vampires, gnomes, goblins, animals, space animals etc. Getting hung-up over an X playing Y instead of X is about the same as asking why someone doesn't play a human toon.
Honestly, I feel that those who do make an issue out of it, especially in 2018, are basically just baiting for a reaction.
