If it's for party-goers to get it before the event, then maybe it would've been better as stalls in the dome after wristband collection. Then anything left over could go on general sale tomorrow. But then it's tough to try and entice people to make last minute ticket purchases...
I can see both sides of the argument really. If there's a surplus of stock, sure put it on sale. But at the same time the merch was advertised on social media as being "exclusive" to the event, so I can see why some are annoyed that it's in the shops before the event.
