For reference, they are: + for matches in pages you've tagged ~ for matches in pages you've typed $ for matches in suggestions

I trimmed the ones I didn't think were as useful to get all the others to fit nicely into a tweet :-)

In the search bar as well?
-
These modifiers are for the addressbar, not the search bar. The search bar doesn't know anything about your history or bookmarks or open tabs, etc.
-
That's odd, that you'd search with the input for URLs

Yes. Thanks for posting the full list. I couldn't fit them all in one tweet so I trimmed the list to the ones I thought were most important.

So many unknown features. Compile the complete list and circulate on new tab?
-
maybe we can advertise hidden features in the snippets

I remember being able to reassign those in `about:config`. Did that feature go away?
-
I don't see where that's possible today. Must have gone away or I'm not looking closely enough.
-
It's documented here. Stumbled on it by accident. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Location_Bar_search … I tried looking on http://hg.mozilla.org , but could not find the commit.

Doesn't actually work here, with FF 59 :(
-
type a % then a space then something from the title of one of your open tabs. Does that work?
-
ah, works with the space after the search char. Thanks!

Am I missing something with this? Running FF 59.0.2 and typed "email#" (tried "%" and "@" too) in the addressbar expecting it to show me the a tab I had open (with "email" in both the <title> and the domain) but it brings back no matches.
-
Sorry, you need a space between the search term and the modifier so "email #" rather than "email#"
-
Yeah, I kept poking at it and figured this out, replying to my comment just as your reply came in
