I was once told by a big deal artist at a portfolio review that I drew the knees and elbows on a woman too masculine. To this day I really don't know what the guy meant.

The worst bit of art critique I was told was that anime style art doesn't count as art. :\

So common and so infuriating! They can't come up with a rational reason for not liking a new popular style so they make up that narrative that it's unprofitable or in some cases, not art at all. And then it spreads to other art teachers...
