I actually like the prenup photos of billy & coleen. Ang galing ng photog. Is it wrong/inappropriate? I don't think so. I don't see the intention to put the Ethiopian people in a 'bad light'. They actually become part of the art. At least that's what I see.

I mean, I'm sure ANTM (& some of its franchise) have done something similar to this. Wherein they include the locals for a high fashion shoot and made beautiful results.

I think the perceptions will be different from person to person. After all, that is how art is consumed. Your opinion is not wrong, same as my opinion is not wrong too. 😃

People are over thinking. Slaves daw and disrepectful? Nasa isip lang nila yan. I don't see those locals as slaves. Until these bashers saw it in negative aspect.

Like I said in my previous reply, the way how people see and react to the photos will be different. In my case, I didn't see poverty, props, objectification and such. I saw two different elements, both beautiful, working together.

The intention is immaterial. The mere fact that a lot of people were disturbed by the images means something. Good faith is not a defense. The pictures are offensive whether or not there is an intent to be discriminatory or racist.

I know that some people didn't like it, while others don't find fault in it. My take is, Ethiopian were not used as props. They are there as supporting characters and they are essential to the story/narrative of the photos. Again, that's just me.
