Can the game industry do better. I don’t want to wait once a year for public abuse accounts for anything to be done. I’m very conflicted - one hand I want more women / diversity in industry. But on the other, I don’t want the environment they come into to be a toxic pit.

Yes. As a lot of these companies knew about abusers for years and nothing was done. They can start with that.

In theory i agree but this feels like a band-aid solution to me. An external company can be used to either deflect accusations/criticism by saying "this was not in our hands" or to block female employees entirely from being hired, just to be save from possible ramifications. 1/3
