Apparently there is meant to be an "Alt-Used" header in the response, but I have not seen one so far*, plus it would still be nice to surface the presence/use of Alternate Service transport in the Network tab dash. *Possibly TBB is purging/not-generating them?
It turns out FF60 in Private Browsing (and therefore TBB 8) is programmed not to send any Alt-Used headers: https://dxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-esr60/source/netwerk/protocol/http/nsHttpChannel.cpp#6170 … Tor Browser does sometimes decide to use the .onion route, but infrequently for some reason I haven't figured out.
