          Yeah. It's the absolute worst version of capitalism bundled in with a theoretical critique of eugenics which really isn't that much of a critique because Vincent is probably someone who in that unvierse happens to have pretty "good" genes

          Like, the scan process in the pee test makes sense only if the companies that do the genetic selection leave some sort of marker/copyright gene, and also, makes no sense because Vincent's plan is highly elaborate and who would try it?

          How bad Gattaca got made me so mad, because it starts with a truth that is so often overlooked in films on discrimination: The discrimination is illegal, but happens anyway. I felt so validated by that. Then it goes and says "If you can't perform, you're worthless". Ugh.
