FYI the standard time limit for a suicide exclusion is two years after the policy start date. This is a matter of state law

I'd expect any insurance company to weasel out of paying up so while not saying it wasn't death by suicide, it is weird to write it out

Insurance companies are explicitly not allowed to exclude suicide after the two-year period is up, it's a legal consumer protection
