Uhhh, I'm pretty sure that the electrical infrastructure of a skyrise should be able to handle one dodgy fridge, but I'm not engineer.

this depends on where you live, both in the US & the UK. dd's UK rental house came w/a fridge but a friend's rental did not; he had to buy.

my mother's rental apt in NYC came w/a fridge, but when it broke she bought her own to replace. landlord reimbursed.
