Arthur Chu added,
If you asked people "WHY should Trump have his own server but not Hillary" they could probably come up with a plausible-sounding answer
Because any technobabble bullshit is plausible when it comes to this issue because no one actually understands or cares about it
"Well you see when Hillary murgled her nurgles she was furglepurgledurgle whereas Trump's nurgles are kachurgle"
You know how many times I've heard some asshole say "Hillary's server was so insecure it got pwned by a simple phishing attack"
Conflating two completely different security issues about two completely different PEOPLE and two completely different sets of emails
(Note: the biggest vulnerability of any email account is to phishing/social engineering, and that has nothing to do w where the server is)
(And Trump is probably the most vulnerable elected official to a phishing/social engineering attack in recorded history thus far)
He's still using his regular civilian phone, which isn't alarming just bc it has no added security provisions (though that is alarming)
It's alarming bc it's a signal that he has an extremely low tolerance for inconvenience
Extremely low tolerance for inconvenience = very ripe target for social engineering
You could probably "hack" Trump just by getting his number and calling him pretending to be a person he's aware he's supposed to talk to
(This is a prank random radio DJs have pulled off on important people all the time btw)
