The wine news has context. Deniers love pointing to English wine from medieval times as evidence warming isn't so bad

Comes with the assumption that this is a "cyclical" trend and temps will go up so we can enjoy wine and lobster and then back down again

That's wrong. The MWP was the North Atlantic specifically being 1 degree above avg levels. We're now probably at a global 2 degrees up

It is now impossible to stop us from going past 4 degrees up. Scientists fear we'll end up at 6.

Here's the thing abt colonizing Mars: for most of Earth's past, Earth was an "alien" planet we couldn't have survived in

We're pretty likely to discover soon just how hard life is on a mildly "alien" Earth, never mind a completely alien world

"The ground must have been MADE for me! I am precious and special!" As the sun comes out "This is temporary, a test of my will to survive"

As the puddle is more than half dried out "I don't understand! I have existed here as long as I can remember! I am part of the universe"
