I was fascinated by it. Looked it up in books to find out more. Was like I was in an exclusive club of occult weirdos who knew what it was.

It seems like a lot of horror franchises eventually get around to a Hand of Glory story. But it is still a relatively small pool.

So, larger, but still obscure club. Kinda cool. Don't know what it means, though.

FYI: a Hand of Glory is the left hand of a hanged murderer, preserved and turned into a candle that unlocks doors & paralyzes people.

It is about the closest thing to a D&D magic item you can find in real world folklore. (and has nothing to do with glory holes)

@StuHorvath a lot of adaptations try to make it make more sense which I think drains the cool factor1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

@StuHorvath I think a lot of compelling Weird shit comes from having objects w magical uses only loosely linked to their mundane ones1 reply 0 retweets 1 like

@arthur_affect Exactly. A lot of folklore tradition makes zero sense. Like crocodile teeth are supposed to act as protective talismans. Huh?0 replies 0 retweets 0 likesThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
