1. I like me some bigass epic fantasy or court intrigue fantasy. I love the sturm und drang of rivalries, the twists of subplots. LOVE.

4. My #1 example is NINE PRINCES IN AMBER by Roger Zelazny. It's about 70K words, maybe even shorter. It is a slim little paperback.
