Going from #BlackLivesMatter to #AllLivesMatter is the same as going from #YesAllWomen to #notallmen. Don't do it.

Only white people and those who don't understand the struggle of minorities and women try this.

The focus for #BlackLivesMatter does not need to be more inclusive. White lives are appreciated and protected. We do not share a struggle.

@arthur_affect @erlking I was tempted, in order to recognize First Nations, Canada's most marginalized group. But thought better of it.

@kateality @arthur_affect I've been worried at how some Canadians are angry at the US but not at our own institutional murders/violence.

@erlking @arthur_affect seems difficult to bridge the outrage to missing and murdered indigenous women. Latter is quieter, more gradual.

@erlking @arthur_affect but also wonder if appropriate to try and rechannel. Part of larger discussion, or distracting from issue at hand?

@kateality @arthur_affect in the moment of rage/grief I think probably yes. But the time for this discussion is near, I think.
