Instead, he lets the momentary anger get to him, he closes his laptop and goes out for a beer, and eventually his career founders and he retires to spend his time gardening

Professor Hulk first appeared in the early 90’s directly in the wake of joe fixit, he actually didn’t act like banner and was a jerk but had equal intelligence to him unlike fixit, he also had a dedicated costume. I thought he was gonna be hulk forever.

Honestly my favorite thing about the Professor Hulk in the comics is that we're told it's "Banner's mind in the Hulk's body" and that it's supposed to mean he's somehow cured but then we find out that it was an incredibly unethical experiment by his (also gamma) therapist.
