Ok what makes even less sense than Bucky and Sam just letting John walk away is not only letting Sharon walk away but *helping* her? I don’t even care about what this show is or isn’t a political metaphor for,I don’t understand how these characters decide who matters diagetically

That's why the ending, which is meant to superficially look like victory, is actually a failure where the true villain wins The relatively innocent and noble antagonists get successfully sacrificed to further the plans of the actual diabolical bad guy

Sharon makes a very risky play to try to force Sam and Bucky to let her infiltrate their investigation (put out a hit on them as the Power Broker and then approach them as herself so they'll credit her with "saving" them)

I know the Power Broker is a comics character but I can’t help but think Sharon stole her job from a yahg

Yeah it's a pretty salient reference
