Actually yes people who demand that I, personally, print out a copy of something that I've already sent them electronically and they've had ample time to print themselves are extremely old in the worst possible wayhttps://twitter.com/LeahPilcer/status/1384992061020008450 …

I guess I was ahead of the curve on this one In high school and college I was still getting advice along the lines "It's impossible to concentrate on a text on a glowing screen with all those distractions Use the computer for quick browsing and searching but not detailed study"

Bitch as soon as I *got* a computer when I was like ten years old I was doing almost all my reading on it And that was Web 1.0 when there was nothing good to read I absorbed so much more information from sketchy forums and shit than I ever did from paper books

Just like my writing classes still said "It's easiest to be creative in longhand with physical pen and paper A Moleskine notebook is an indispensable companion for brainstorming/drafting Composing text directly in a word processor creates too much pressure to make it perfect"

Okay whatever I literally have not touched a ballpoint pen in the past twenty years except to sign something (And that's when I'm at someone else's office, if I'm signing it at home I paste a JPEG of my signature onto the PDF)

Eye fatigue/pain is a real problem, as are issues with desk set-up at many companies causing wrist, neck, and back problems.

And that would be my responsibility to take into consideration if I were your boss Not if you were my boss Nor if, indeed, you were a hiring manager and I had no job at all because I was an unemployed job seeker

If they actually cared about resumes on paper they wouldn't make you fill in those awful online applications forms. Ugh. I don't print out for interviews any more bc what a bloody waste

It's really hard for me to do with construction submittals. Bound pdfs of mixed page sizes from letter to ARCH D and lots detail have to get printed. I have 3 screens, 2 of them decent size, and i still have to print much of them to be able to see what I'm doing.

Especially true when I'm proofing cadd, too. I don't east to mess with the original file and I'm presented a pdf for review. If i have to sketch corrections, it takes half the time by hand and scan and send back than doing markup in any pdf "editor" i have used.
