Regardless of whether or not the X-Men will ever be in the MCU, I do kind of wonder if adamantium, the metal, will ever be canon

Note that this is actually an explicit difference in the MCU -- in Endgame, a non-gauntleted Thanos breaks the shield with a regular blow from his sword (presumably made vibranium or other special space metal)
-
In the comics, Captain America's shield breaking is always an extremely big fucking deal involving some kind of cosmic reality warping Thanos was able to shatter it only by punching it with the Infinity Gauntlet (as a demonstration of the Gauntlet's omnipotence)

Reimagine Wolverine but make him Wakandan
-
Wolverine as a Wakanda War Dog who was captured by the US government and brainwashed as part of the same program Isaiah Bradley was in, which we can now just call the "Weapon X" program

A good way to set that up would be with the "misunderstanding fight" in the same vein as they did in avengers as a way to set up everyone's relative power. IE Thor's stronger than Iron Man's suit, but Cap's shield beats his Hammer. If not then probably doesn't matter enough.
-
Okay thinking about this more I absolutely want to see Wolverine get into a fight with Bucky and Sam caused by Bucky recognizing Wolverine from WW2 and confront him in a way that causes a fight during which Wolverine cuts off his vibranium arm.
