Seriously the list of negative emotions you're not "allowed" to have if your life is supposedly objectively not as hard as someone else's life is enormous And people are really huge assholes about it And Matt Taibbi is right, it used to be much more okay to be a public asshole

See on the flip side you look at forums of unhappy moms who really clearly regret having kids and seem to have ALWAYS been resistant to the idea but went ahead and did it anyway And you ask "why" And a big reason is, well, a social environment filled with people like this

I legitimately think that this is a factor in why my oldest sister had kids. She can't stand being around them but loves to go on about what a martyr she is for having them.
