They probably also had elevators for all the lazy fatties to use without taking the stairshttps://twitter.com/strauss_matt/status/1383759522158678016 …

Yeah sure they can get poutine and donuts in, you know, the entire rest of society, but we're going to insist that *we* don't contribute to that, goddammit Even though it's kind of too late if they're already in the fucking hospital

Or they're here because they're supporting a loved one who's in the hospital "Well, never mind Grandma died, you're in the hospital now so you have to eat an expensive salad" is kind of kicking them when they're down isn't it

This is me being salty about something from years ago but it reminds me of an ex who used to insist that when we went down to the basement of our building to work out that we take the stairs "The whole point of this trip is to get exercise, isn't it?"

Okay but Unless you're making some kind of principle about NEVER using the elevator, no Surely the MOST justifiable time for me to not want to climb several flights of stairs is RIGHT AFTER I've ALREADY HAD a workout and am now very tired

Wouldn't it make more sense to SPECIFICALLY take the elevator right after a workout, and for me to instead take the stairs some other time, so as to, you know, spread the exercise around

I dunno I've had this kind of conversation a lot "Why DRIVE to the gym to run on a TREADMILL for an hour, and use up more energy and increase your carbon footprint, when you could just run around your neighborhood for free?"

Because I don't LIKE my neighborhood and I'm not COMFORTABLE running through it and I prefer this way of doing it Christ fuck off

I already quoted this today but it's like Randall in Clerks blowing off his job at the video store to go rent a video from a different video store "Because I want to go to a GOOD video store"

"THIS video store SUCKS That's the whole reason they haven't fired me"

There’s a McDonalds in the celeveland clinic.
I don’t think people realize that patients stuck in hospitals aren’t ordering from the same full cafeteria menu. -
If I could have ordered from the full menu back in December, camomile tea wouldn’t have been the most flavorful thing I consumed.
