Parents and non-parents are probably never gonna stop sniping at each other because it's such a major life decision that you can't really understand the impact of from the other side But I always say "It's better to regret not having done something than regret having done it"

Inspirational speakers and life coaches like to say the exact opposite of what I just said But if you actually generally lived that way you'd probably be in prison

I don’t know a single parent who doesn’t spend every waking moment complaining about their kids on social media Like not even the people advocating for it seem to enjoy it
-
Oddly, the one couple I know who never complain about their baby is my best friend and his wife- and they didn’t mean to have a kid yet. (They also thought they’d have to adopt. Turns out her PCOS didn’t make her sterile like they thought.)

People can get weird about any choice where they think you think it makes you better than them.https://youtu.be/iT_Bfb6mG2M

My favorite was the time I had a few "Libertarians" demand I have children in order to make the economy go. Absolute *chef's kiss* moment.

Also drinking. Tell someone you don't drink or that you've quit drinking and you've just started a discourse.
-
The worst is the people trying to be "nice" about it who just barrage you with an endless list of drinks and going "have you tried this, have you tried that?" No, because every time I've tried anything alcoholic, I have a coughing fit and it's just generally really unpleasant.
