"let's keep going exactly as we were, no changes, no social shifts, no compensation for a suddenly doubled population" is fuckin' LUDICROUS, it doesn't at all account for material scarcity or geological distribution or anything else! It's "it worked on my commune..."

Which is kind of shows you why most people wouldn't sympathize with Karli but would pity her How fucked would you have to be for a disaster like that to actually improve your life
-
It does seem noteworthy that Karli only moves in circles of thoroughly radicalized and socially isolated people.

Yeah, if her goal is some kind of Snap-restoration. Which would be horrifying, but they don't take her there directly. Instead it's about how the world *was* during that time, whatever the fuck that means, because apparently there were no borders?
-
Naturally, her main enemy is a one-world government organization, because internationalists hate those.

My understanding of Karli's position, and I could be misremembering, is that after the snap, people became less nativist/nationalistic in responding to the crisis, and with everyone returned, governments are falling back into their bad habits.
