Admittedly, if we’d gotten what we’re saying we wanted - a (more) realistic Blip - we probably would see a major restructuring of alphabet soup agencies across the world

Am I the only one who thinks that FatWS for the "haves" and"have nots" reversed? The ones who stayed had five years to take possession of... Well... Everything. The person who came back thinksb they were only time an instant, but now somebody is living in their house. (1/2)

Why would the squatter leave? Now your have a "right to return" against possession, which is 9 parts of the law. For your job it's worse, because somebody is doing it. Why would they step aside for you? You're five years behind the curve and don't even know it.

Also, a lot of houses would be rotted out anyway, even if there were no squatters! If nobody moved in, the power would be off and if you're somewhere with winter, the pipes would burst.

This has literally always been part of why I felt Karli and her bunch of fuckups were far more Yellow Vest Volkspopulist Resentment metaphor than Oh No Displaced Refugees. For Karli and co, the Snap Years were the good years, & they wanna go back to that.

Karli thinks Thanos had a point, even if she's too chickenshit (or has the basic self-preservation instincts) to admit it. And while "let's go back to pre-Snap" to appease the Returned is obviously traumatic, unjust & bullshit all 'round (cont)

"let's keep going exactly as we were, no changes, no social shifts, no compensation for a suddenly doubled population" is fuckin' LUDICROUS, it doesn't at all account for material scarcity or geological distribution or anything else! It's "it worked on my commune..."

As it stands one can pretty much only justify the Blip if one takes the logical assumption that it is not a malignant genie and Banner was able to magic up a bunch of resources to at least keep the Returned from starving (& maybe also including undoing all the knock-off deaths).

TBH it actually makes the most sense if Banner DID undo the knock-off deaths and other catastrophes from the Snap, not just because it preserves an unmitigated happy ending but because it means the Returned THOROUGHLY outnumber the resentful Survivors & thus can outvote them.

Well, it makes a hash out of the whole plot of WandaVision, although technically Vision died moments before the Snap, and Maria Rambeau arguably would have died anyway had the Snap never happened

Also Vision is a robot and possibly just doesn't count
