I went to a Christian university. The overall place wasn't anywhere near as insane as fundie places are (I got my psych degree there, accredited by the province), but it attracted its fair share of fundie students. Dear lord were they unsettling at the best of times.
90% of them dropped their programs and moved to the seminary program because they couldn't handle the "secular" programs and they were super goddamn weird about the shared mixed-gender lounge, trying to make it one gender at a time. The staff kept telling them to knock it off.
There are few things more terrifying than Christian men whose whole vibe is “my sexuality is a violent and dangerous wild animal which needs to be locked away behind iron bars because if it ever got free I could not be held responsible for controlling it” cool I feel very safe!
I read that tweet completely free of the conversational context and swear I laughed for 5 straight minutes.
Yet it doesn't have as poor a reputation as a circlejerk, which I'd say is much more friendly. This is a joke please don't respond seriously.
