Bioware has a thing for introducing temporary party members in the beginning who die really quickly but Jenkins is one of the shortest lived.

I’m curious what the logic is since they use that trope a lot. Maybe it’s so they can quickly demonstrate how evil and dangerous the antagonists are?

It’s kind of interesting though how Bioware’s doomed tutorial guy is usually someone your player character just met. It’d be different if the doomed first party member was like your character’s beloved dad or something.

To be fair Revan’s brain was broken at the time and maybe Revan would’ve never remembered how to open doors without his help.

Yeah the whole reason the bad guys attack the Doomed Hometown with such overwhelming force is they hope to kill the hero when he's still trying to figure out which stick is move and which one is look
