Iron Man 3 really does has a feel of being non-canon, huh

Tony's entire Ultron program feels like an extension of him wanting to retire as Iron Man whilst also having the Avengers looking at him expectantly whenever there's a crisis.
-
Tony definitely wanted to be the Vince McMahon of the Avengers, nominally a noncombatant but he still has the same entrance music from like 1995 and it hits like every other week

Pepper only went back to Tony because she was jealous of Aunt May

The funny thing is Thor: Love and Thunder sounds like it's going to be the same idea of "Plot twist: the girlfriend has powers now" but hopefully this time they won't just forget about it

Civil War kind of reframes Iron Man as an addiction: "A few years ago, I almost lost her, so I trashed all my suits. Then, we had to mop up HYDRA . . . and then Ultron. My fault. And then, and then, and then, I never stopped. Because the truth is I don't wanna stop."
