Is there any reason why? Or did both the prior Hulk movies (Bana and Norton) do bad, and scare the producers away from trying another with the current actor?

The movies doing bad is a factor in why this situation hasn't been resolved, but the actual reason why there are no more Hulk movies is Universal continues to hold the distribution rights to any Hulk feature films

Back when Marvel Studios was just a studio and relied on other companies as distributors this was no big deal But Marvel is now owned by Disney, which insists on being the distributor for all the movies they make, and will never do anything to throw money to a competitor

I think that's more because it was produced by Marvel TV, which was Ike Perlmutter and Jeph Loeb's fiefdom, rather than Marvel Studios where Feige is in control. The whole territory battle/pissing contest that was resolved when INHUMANS cratered.

the greatest gift INHUMANS gave the world was the destruction of Ike Perlmutter's career

The first ep of FaWS giving us this very grounded picture of Bucky trying to help this elderly Japanese-American guy through the grief of losing his son whom Bucky killed just for being a witness feels like one big apology to the community for Daredevil Seasons 2 and 3

"But why did you have to shoot him SO MANY TIMES And then dismember and burn his corpse?!" "Battlefield protocol is to assume any ninja may be an immortal demon ninja and plan accordingly"
