So I mean there you go If someone with a bum leg is in the middle of seriously threatening your safety or that of someone you care about, you kick them in the bum leg Of course it's a shitty thing to do because combat is inherently shitty It's shitty to hit somebody at all

I didn't even know there was any sort of upset about the whole thing. She knocked/switched his arm off. Not like she repossessed it or something.
-
It's even less of a big deal than aggravating a previous injury, because he can just pick the arm up afterward.

Seriously, this seems like the obvious reasonable take? Ppl are going like oh she did this terrible thing to poor bucky how could they and like, no, not really, it was a reasonable combat action, and then ppl are going oh no it was perfectly morally right to do this bc x, which,
-
no? Obviously not? In a real fight it could be necessary or reasonable to do it, and within context it definitely makes sense to do and to exist, but the arm is still a fucking arm and a prosthetic, the action is still a dick move even if its reasonable

I legitimately don't understand why the crotch kick isn't a more common go-to move

Not always effective. No one my height or shorter has ever been able to hit me just right to cause that knee buckling pain

I thought it was an interesting counterpoint to the earlier sequence where it was shown she'd cured him, years ago. She cured him and looked confident it would work—but just in case, she left a backdoor/failsafe.

I mean if there was any real malice in it, the arm wouldn't be so easy to reattach after the fight.
