As great as it is to see the Dora Milaje again it just further emphasizes this looming question of "Who exactly is the Black Panther right now"

In theory T'Challa is still alive and well right And there's no way they could be there without him ordering it or at least approving it But they very very carefully avoid ever mentioning this, even though the whole point is avenging his dad

(And he certainly thought avenging his dad was important enough to take on the mission personally the first time around)

I dunno it just feels weird considering this whole thing is very central to T'Challa's own character arc His big moment of character development in Civil War was deciding to forgo revenge, to move on and decide that whether Zemo lived or died wasn't his concern anymore

This kiiinda seems like it's going back on that Like at the very least, it's this missed opportunity -- of course I know Ayo would be happy to see Zemo's head on a pike but the question is what, exactly, T'Challa wants to see happen re: Zemo being brought to justice

Yep. Were the Dora satisfied w/ Zemo remaining alive as long as he was locked up and are they just looking to return him to prison? They could have killed him at the drop but didn’t.

Are their actions sanctioned by the Wakandan sovereign? Is that person still T’Challa or has he died off-screen? Does Shuri feel differently than he did?

Their apparent lack of a plan for actually getting their hands on Zemo was weird, but maybe it’s a hint that they weren’t supposed to be there? Maybe other Wakandan agents would have been better for a grab-job than the equivalent of the Secret Service? Were they off-books there?

Yeah see in terms of the plot a lot of things make way more sense if Ayo and her team have gone rogue But "going rogue" is supposed to be wildly out of character for any member of the Dora Milaje

For sure on both counts, though with Ayo in particular involved, there's an opening for that direction to play out, even if the rationale would have to be very different than the TNC run take.

They *could* say that post-Blip Wakanda is in crisis because who was running the country for 5 years and were they perfectly happy to cede power when T'Chala showed back up, he *did* die after all, and maybe the Dora Milaje are split on who to follow now.

this is the problem with an absolute monarchy in a world where people can come back from the dead.
