They select someone worthier than any common citizen, then they make them EXTRA-worthy by pouring magic in their blood The Black Panther is given the right not only to decide who lives or dies with his superhuman prowess, but the actual right to sit on the throne and rule

I mean, if he could kill the Hulk, I’m sure he would. Karli is worth paying attention to bc she was trying to make more super soldiers.
-
The fact that Bruce "cured" himself and Professor Hulk seems like a decent trustworthy dude is another counterexample to Zemo's whole argument But one that opens up this gigantic can of worms about how all of Bruce's character development has had to be offscreen and handwavy

I'm very curious if the show is building up to Sam taking the super soldier serum. The fourth episode seemed to be based entirely around this debate of the ethical nature of the serum.
-
And it flatout asks Sam and he says no. So if he does end up taking it, is that some sacrificing of his beliefs? Or will it be reframed as him picking up where Isaiah Bradley left off?

here's a way of reading what's up with zemo he's an old-money aristocrat from europe, and he feels status threat from *certain* superhumans based on that. that's the actual key to this, not the abstract philosophical stuff he goes on about.
-
Yeah, I keep coming back to this mentally whenever the "superheroes/gods/heroes: fascist?" talking point comes up. marginalized folks fuckin' love empowered heroes historically 'cause SOMEBODY can hold the rich to account. This sort of pseudo-egalitarianism feels more privileged.

Wild how Zemo, whose ideology is about egalitarianism among humans, is a fabulously wealthy aristocrat.

In the comics, isn't the only reason that the Gamma rays had the effect on Banner that they did because his father did some weird experimentation on himself before Banner was conceived
-
I thought that was just in the Eric Bana movie?
