People definitely started to claim that “gender critical” was a slur. It seems to have regained its popularity, though.

But anyway You can be a "radical feminist" and not be a TERF -- i.e. have some sort of ideology that "Sexism goes down to the root of our society and can't just be fixed by giving people more rights and can't be explained by appeals to some other form of oppression"

The term "TERF" was, in fact, coined by a "TIRF", a radical feminist (Viv Smythe) who was tired of having people assume she was anti-trans based on her political identification and wanted to keep the simplistic "Oppression is because of uteruses!" mindset from taking over

I mean that sounds like a kind of anarchism? I don’t think ‘radlib’ is meant that literally.. I’ve always taken it to mean ‘someone who postures as a radical but whose core beliefs and actions are liberal’

I mean, I absolutely remember it being (or, rather, having been) a hit among tankies who applied it to anarchists indiscriminately. So, yeah, I agree with you wrt what the word should mean but there are precedents either way.
