I hope Chris Evans buys Wyatt Russell a beer after all this is over A solid four or five years of his career will be taken up by his agent being told everyone thinks of him as "the knockoff version of Chris Evans" now

Dude's character is January 6th, 2021 personified. Wyatt Russell is rocking it.

No kidding. He is honestly one of the most uncomfortable characters I've ever watched on TV, because Walker is _such_ a realistic person. He even seems like legitimately a reasonable person _before_ all this, but now he has to 'Be Captain America'.

People often fail to notice: Captain America wasn't a soldier. At least, not when he _became_ Captain America, and not really for a while after that. And his actual motivation to become a soldier, the reason he forced himself into _real_ duty, was 'to save people's lives'.

He’s well written. More so than others.

John Walker is a direct contrast to Steve Rogers. He was chosen based on a misguided perception of who Captain American should be, Steve was chosen based on who Captain America needs to be.pic.twitter.com/1jYRJAwAyV

That thread about the costumes reminded me that when his character first appeared, I thought the actor was Zach Woods, who is phenomenal at playing insecure White male rage.

At least it's self-aware?
