Despite being the two named Sokovian characters in the MCU, Zemo and Wanda cannot meet, because Zemo would be unable to refrain from calling her a basic bitch for her tastes in TV, and she would be unable to refrain from telekinetically turning him inside out

And yet as he turned inside out he would somehow do it smugly and sardonically and make her feel like he'd won the exchange

Honestly I joke about how distractingly obvious it is that Daniel Bruhl is German and just playing Zemo as German without making any effort to imitate Elizabeth Olsen's "Sokovian" accent But you can chalk it up to aristocrats generally being foreigners in their own country

It was very strange to me that they didn’t use subtitles esp when speaking to the children. Why do that all know English?

Scenes like that I always just assume they are speaking their native language, we just hear it in English.

Yeah just like in Black Panther in "reality" 100% of the dialogue in Wakanda should've been in Wakandan but instead they make it a mix of Wakandan and English to be kind to the audience

Yes! I think it’s a completely reasonable assumption for filmmakers to make that the audience understands in instances like that that they are speaking their native languages, but we hear English(or whatever language the target audience speaks) because they don’t hate us, lol

Well, and to the actors, given most/all of them don't actually speak Xhosa (the rl South African language used to stand in for "Wakandan")

Ah, that's right Xhosa. My favorite. It's so beautiful. Actors often learn languages specific to their lines in instances like this.
