The worldview you have to have to believe that: 1) Torrey Peters' writing is fundamentally and identifiably "male" and therefore different from all cis women's writing 2) All critics and judges will always be biased in favor of "male" writing over "female" writing

Even the Women's Prize judges, who are a committee of 100% cis women This worldview is even more pessimistic and condescending than the one that says "Women by definition cannot beat men at physical athletics"

I would be shocked if their argument wasn't that amabs are male socialized as children, and thus thinking ways that our favored culturally and subconsciously by the people doing the judging. If they are at all clever enough to avoid straight up bio essentialism
