Anyway the idea that having an asshole dad "makes you trans" is probably even more damaging than the idea that watching porn "makes you trans" However, I do think it's likely if Daniel Schreber were raised by someone other than Moritz he might've been less fucked up about it

In any case, when I first heard this story I really, really wanted Moritz Schreber to be the namesake of Moritz Stiefel in Spring Awakening -- it'd be the most perfect thematic link if it were -- but there doesn't seem to be any evidence for it
