I really try not to nitpick MCU shit for "realism" or "bad decisions" but why oh why would someone going on a high-stakes secret mission where you have to disguise yourself as someone else not just turn off their phone

Is it even a realistic mistake to make? The audience gets a humorous jump cut to him in the disguise but in real life he'd have to have spent a while picking out clothes, checking himself out in the mirror, etc before leaving for the mission

You're putting on the evil warlord's evil garish designer suit and his evil alligator shoes and his evil jewelry and all this stuff you say you would never wear in a million years in real life

And during the process of getting dressed you're like "Oh better not forget to put my real phone with my real contacts and my real emails in Mr Evil Warlord's jacket pocket"

I ask this, of course, because this is on my mind because of many real-life insurrectionists apparently going through this same thought process before going to storm the Capitol

"Oh I may be dressed as the Qanon Shaman but the Shaman still needs to have Jake's iPhone on him in case his mom calls"
