Like what's the thought process here, under what circumstances would your phone being on and able to ring or receive notifications ever be a *good* thing in this scenario

Is it even a realistic mistake to make? The audience gets a humorous jump cut to him in the disguise but in real life he'd have to have spent a while picking out clothes, checking himself out in the mirror, etc before leaving for the mission

Also the constant telegraphing “As long as we never break character we will be fine” every 3rd line was amateur too. Not sure if it’s coincidence but read in an interview that episode had A LOT of notes from high ups, so maybe it was a case of executive meddling messing it up.
