Both sexes have a brain, it isn't what differentiates the sexes.

That the brain is part of the body, and can no more belong to the opposite sex than your hand or your leg.

Woke up to a giant pile of notifications only to find that it appears mostly to be a semantic dispute over the meaning of "sex", which .... I guess to throw my own 2¢ in I find to be a pretty unimportant question? Like if the OED declared my sex to be "smeerp" my life would go on

Honestly since the very start of transition this has been part of the motivation for being "stealth" in real life - whatever semantic or cultural shifts occur, including a hard conservative turn, if nobody actually knows you're trans you'll find yourself on the right side of them

So much of what appears to be the right-wing/TERF worldview seems predicated on this not being possible, which maybe is why they're so opposed to early puberty blockers? Plenty of adult transitioners go stealth, but if blockers were routine there'd be no perceptible differences.

Actually, most of us would have no issue with puberty blockers if they were harmless and reversible. Recent studies however have shown that they are not, which begs the question whether a child is capable of making an informed decision and oversee the consequences.

One fun thing about the boundless arrogance of TERFs is saying *to someone's face*, who just said they were on puberty blockers as a child, "I think puberty blockers destroy these kids' lives and especially depress their IQ so they're too stupid to know what's been done to them"

The infantilizing way they talk about early transitioners is revolting Based on the early transitioners I know, most parents would count themselves lucky to have a kid who grows up with the same degree of self-awareness, intelligence and drive

I fucking dare you to read the book about Nicole Maines and what she went through as the Jane Doe in Doe v Regional School Unit 26 and then look at her career since then and say with a straight face this is a brainwashed broken victim with a "suppressed peak IQ"
