Why the hell don’t the Avengers geographically distribute themselves? In the MCU the entire center of the US is protected by two teenage runaways and the entire West Coast by Ant Man and like 9 runaways

Anyway, the MCU version of Tony Stark is a jet-setting bi-coastal dude, the idea is supposed to be the Avengers can get to anywhere in the world within minutes with the Quinjets

The Iron Man movies always indicated his preferred home base was LA, the Avengers movies giving him a second home and office in NY was kind of a retcon to make the Avengers compound match its location in the comics (though not unrealistic, obviously)

for that matter, most of the avengers' enemies just go looking for the avengers like they just built a big fucking tower with their name on it and said BRING IT and then mostly the supervillains went and brought it

In the actual original Avengers #1 the only meaning of the name "avengers" is them saying "We need a name that'll let everyone know we're the toughest heroes around!"
