Something that annoys me about biozombie fiction is when zombies aren't depicted behaving in ways you know they naturally would Like if your zombie needs to eat, then zombies should also be able to starve to death, a sealed vault full of clickers should eventually just die

It's also a plot point in TWD, it's why the gruesome plot point that cannibals have to keep you alive while they cut bits off of you (if you die and turn your flesh becomes inedible)

And yeah logically the zombie virus/toxin has to act as a preservative, embalming the body, to explain why they don't quickly fall apart into a mess of maggots and mold in hot climates The spores don't take root and the flies don't land, they "taste like death" to everything
