He thinks people who want to protect trans kids are the ones having the moral panic

I loathe the man, but is this definitely true? He’s been complaining recently about Conservatives “misusing” his reporting, should there be any benefit of the doubt he might be referring to them?

Yes, it's part of a Tweetstorm where he denies any responsibility for trans youth suicides as the result of being denied transition

Are you going to take responsibility for youth who commit suicide post-transition?

"Transition was shown to greatly reduce rates of suicidal ideation and suicide attempt. In total, 67 per cent of respondents thought about suicide more before they transitioned and only 3 per cent thought about suicide more post-transition. https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Sonja-Ellis/publication/281441727_Suicide_risk_in_the_UK_Trans_population_and_the_role_of_gender_transition_in_decreasing_suicidal_ideation_and_suicide_attempt/links/55f753b908aeafc8abfed03f/Suicide-risk-in-the-UK-Trans-population-and-the-role-of-gender-transition-in-decreasing-suicidal-ideation-and-suicide-attempt.pdf …

I have no doubt that transition is the right thing for some people to do. But for others it is not, and we're really not allowed to fully look into that at this point in history. One is seen as phobic if they feel that not enough is understood yet.

He's pushing a line that *by default* we should *deny* care. Not just transition, but puberty blockers to delay the choice. We don't know everything, but we do know enough to know that puberty blockers and openness to later transition are by far net positives.

Not sure about the claims you're making here, but what do you think of that part of the Hippocratic Oath where it says "first do no harm"?

Isn't actually part of modern Hippocratic Oaths because we realized surgery is a thing. And when it was was understood to have exceptions. Like if doctors followed that oath then chemo couldn't be a thing.

I always find it funny when TERFs in particular bring up "the Hippocratic Oath" because the literal Hippocratic Oath in its original text outright forbids abortion

Also "First: do no harm" being brandished by people who obviously get off inflicting pain and distress to people they object to…
