You're attributing opinions to me that I do not have. I'm suggesting an alternative to your binary thinking on this. 1. Trans people exist and should be supported. 2. Some kids who feel trans at a certain age turn out not to be. Both of those statements are true IMO.

Someone who "detransitions" is generally not equivalent to someone who never transitioned at all -- there's no going back in life, only forward, there's no magical rewind to an "original state" -- and while some are aggrieved and see this as "damage" many don't

And everyone is entitled to their regrets, sure But when someone starts *weaponizing* their regrets to say they should have been *forcibly prevented* from making choices by Wise Elders who foresaw their regrets -- and this extends to *others* as well -- we've got a problem

I mean how many people put themselves tens of thousands of dollars in debt going to school, only to realize that they hate doing what they got their degree in? The general consensus though is that the answer to this is making school MORE affordable and accessible, not less.
