This ties into TERFs' misunderstanding of "top surgery" for trans men "Don't use that word! Say what it really is, double mastectomy!" Okay but a lot of times it isn't It doesn't have to be a radical mastectomy like people do to prevent breast cancer, it's a cosmetic reduction

The kind that cis women get all the time without affecting their precious ability to breastfeed a hypothetical infant And in fact that's the point of those scary puberty blockers and HRT - the sooner you start on those the less surgery, if any, you'll ever need

It really needs to be said that everyone has mammary glands and everyone's mammary glands "work" if you feed them the right hormone balance and a trans man's body isn't broken because he doesn't lactate any more than a cis man's is

You could "fix" all the cis men in the world and "restore" a function their bodies currently don't have by dosing them all with estrogen until they started lactating but most of them wouldn't appreciate it
