Like the people trying to reverse the meaning of "Satanic Panic" -- there really were kids being ritually abused but then everyone had a "moral panic" that they might be the bad guys for throwing too many day care workers in jail, and that was terrible

At this point, it's incredibly obvious that he can't handle situations in which he might actually be the bad guy and incessantly twists things to make himself the victim. I'm pretty sure it's not on purpose at this point, it feels like a really toxic learned behaviour.

Some of the most dangerous people are the ones who refuse to even acknowledge the possibility that they *could* be wrong and it creates a fucked up thought process that completely bypasses all the actual details and hyperfixates on how you feel and nothing else matters.
