I must be some kind of genius mastermind with truly subtle powers of charisma and persuasion to convince all these people whom Jesse thinks he had perfectly lovely, cordial correspondence with to suddenly turn on him and develop confabulated memories that he creeped them out

Surely it must be due to bad actors like me poisoning everyone's minds that Jesse has a horrible reputation, and Jesse himself has nothing to do with it I just have these diabolical powers of sophistry capable of leading countless lost sheep astray

You're shifting the goal posts. You accused him of something specific, and incredibly serious. You've admitted that accusation was false. Now you're all "shucks, who me?" about it. Again, pitiful. You're a mess.

No, I didn't The word "stalking" is not specific, and incredibly serious, in common usage it's a general term for aggressive boundary-pushing unlikable behavior

Jesus. I said he hadn't stalked anybody and you said "this is a lie, he has". Even when you know you've fucked up, you find a way to completely fail to cop to it.

Yeah, because the word "stalking" doesn't mean what you say it does, you're only using it that way to play Internet Lawyer

What a mealy mouthed, morally bankrupt, unaccountable person you are.

Here, I'll be as plain as I can: Jesse probably has not done anything that would rise to the level of a federal crime because if nothing else he is smarter than that However, he does plenty of shit that most ordinary people would freely use the term "stalking" for

And that deserves all the moral opprobrium and social stigma that that term carries, whether or not it has any legal implications, because the law is an inadequate at best instrument of justice and a wholly useless basis for moral principle

He straight up tried to ruin Katelyn Burns' life for defying him and making him look bad If you paid ANY attention to the saga of Jesse repeatedly emailing her boss for "corrections" and hounding her until she got fired and you think Jesse was the good guy you can go to hell

And as I previously pointed out, the only reason this *isn't* actionable under the 2013 VAWA as "cyberstalking" is that Jesse has the cover of being a journo who's just concerned about facts and you can't prove to a jury he was "intending to cause emotional distress"

This is an incredibly difficult thing to prove to a jury under any circumstance, which is not the same as saying it's hardly ever true Hell, actual in-person stalkers who get in your face and yell at you are very hard to prosecute because this country loves free speech so much

Ordinary people call the "journalists" who work for TMZ etc "stalkers" all the time, but they can't be legally arrested for stalking -- in fact they make a living doing what they do and get to put it on TV -- because it's intended to make money, not "intended to cause distress"
