I'm mentioning it because nowhere in your thread did you mention it, much less emphasize prioritizing it so that we're not just on an eternal treadmill of trying to heal ongoing trauma.

Nobody is arguing against therapy, but any good therapist knows better than to tell someone to get rid of their defense mechanisms while the threat they were adapted for still exists. Hierarchy of needs. You psysiologically *can't* disregard safety to focus on self-actualization

If you want people to get to the self-actualization step you have to actually secure their safety as a prerequisite for that. You can't just tell them to not worry about it when it's still a genuine and obvious cause of ongoing danger.

I don't think "all human beings" are bad people, but TERFs certainly are

I can't believe you've had this huge long discussion over whether I'm a sad and broken person for thinking Jesse Singal is a creep when he is manifestly a creep and he surrounds himself with creeps This is beyond parody

Like Moses Farrow going into therapist mode (as an actual therapist!) all "Gosh why do people hate my dad Woody Allen so much, what's their damage"

Ask Jesse why he hangs out with so many people who can't go five minutes without yelling about "grooming" and "child safeguarding" if you're going around looking for unresolved trauma to help heal Maybe ask them to stop calling me a pedophile for not wanting to shut down Pride
