I'm a Christian who has celebrated Passover before, but we didn't actually *change* it and do things that are specifically forbidden. 🙄

Unless you're attending a Jewish friend's seder, you shouldn't be celebrating Passover either.

Really? So you feel that celebrating our relationship with God is to be done only the way YOU see fit? This is why Jesus was hung on the cross. Jewish Rabbis couldn’t wrap their heads around SHARING and TEACHING. They felt like they OWNED access to God. Smh

Ah, blood libel. A grand Christian Easter tradition that's authentic to their culture! Remember, it's REAL Christianity to tell Jews we caused the death of Jesus because we're too stubborn to accept Jesus. So we deserve everything we get.

Reading comprehension was not your strength in school. Jesus was given to be executed by the Romans- by the Jewish people at the time. They followed the Pharisees(called Rabbis today) in calling for His death because He said He is the Son of God.

Historians generally think that there was a historical Jesus. What he was in the first century and what he became as a figure of religious devotion are vastly different things. It's not a matter of belief, it's a matter of research and attention to surviving contemporary texts.

The vast gulf between what we know outside of religious sources (there was a religious leader with the very common name Jesus/Yeshua who was killed) and what the religious sources say means that by most layman's terms calling it "the same guy" is a huge stretch

I'm afraid the vast consensus of historians of the period disagree with you. There was a historical Jesus to whom a messiah cult was attached after death. This is academic consensus, secular and religious. Go argue with the Journal of Biblical History.
