I'm a Christian who has celebrated Passover before, but we didn't actually *change* it and do things that are specifically forbidden.

Unless you're attending a Jewish friend's seder, you shouldn't be celebrating Passover either.

Really? So you feel that celebrating our relationship with God is to be done only the way YOU see fit? This is why Jesus was hung on the cross. Jewish Rabbis couldn’t wrap their heads around SHARING and TEACHING. They felt like they OWNED access to God. Smh

Ah, blood libel. A grand Christian Easter tradition that's authentic to their culture! Remember, it's REAL Christianity to tell Jews we caused the death of Jesus because we're too stubborn to accept Jesus. So we deserve everything we get.

Reading comprehension was not your strength in school. Jesus was given to be executed by the Romans- by the Jewish people at the time. They followed the Pharisees(called Rabbis today) in calling for His death because He said He is the Son of God.

Even if one takes the New Testament at face value, didn't Jesus _instruct_ Judas to sell him out to the Romans so that he could do his faux-sacrifice ritual?

No, not really. He does in the Gospel of Judas, but that’s always been apocrypha rather than canon.

In canon (John 13:27) Jesus tells Judas "What you're going to do, do quickly" at the Last Supper, but no one else knows what he's talking about It's a dramatic "Get it over with" line like in a movie

Good point! Amend my prior statement to “not in the synoptic gospels, ambiguously but probably there in Gnostic-influenced John, clearly there in the apocrypha.” I always forget about John!
