I have no idea how to convert my SAT scores to the modern scale. But same. I did considerably better than 1400 in the old system

And even As a kid who was pretty chuffed about doing well, I realized it wasn't actually a useful indicator of anything except that I was good at standardized tests and had a support network

I was off the charts good on my ACT, and yeah their take is completely wrong here. Anyone who thinks standardized test scores correlate to anything other than income and other entrenched inequalities is lying to themselves.

Same here. And my wife choked on it and wound up with two Masters. I always remember that the very best student I ever taught Freshman Calculus to had SAT scores SO BAD she only got into college at all on an athletics scholarship. Wound up getting a Math degree, in fact.
